Kaghan Valley is one of the popular mountainous valleys in northern areas of Pakistan. It is filled with ice caped rocky mountains, fresh water streams, beautiful lakes, marvelous views and Kunhar River. Naran is the town which is primarily used for stay and plan the trip onwards. Popular lakes of the valley are Saif-ul-Malook, Lulupatsar, Dodi patsar and Aansu Lake. Saif-ul-Malook is popular because of shade of Malika-e-Parbat (High Ice-caped mountain in valley) in its waters, easy approach and better facilities. Aansu lake is shaped like the tear and that is why it is named "Aansu", the urdu translation of tear. Lalazar is grass plain with wild flowers and has a PTDC rest house to stay.
