More than 50,000 global travellers land on Indian International Airport in Delhi to explore the true colors of India. Preferably these travellers want to explore Taj Mahal, stay in royal palaces in Jaipur or some nice Jaipur budget hotels and of course spend some time in the capital, New Delhi. So some Indian Hospitality entrepreneurs drafted a smart travel package which eventually turned out to be one of the most sold travel package in the whole world. Yes I am talking about the “Golden Triangle Package”.

Today more than 100,000 travel agents/ tour operators in India & abroad are offering a tour package with the name of “Golden Triangle” which includes trips to Delhi, Jaipur and Agra. Many famous global newspapers like Daily Mail (UK) have reported this package as some of the very best holiday options (Source- in the end). So below we have presented a route and things to expect in this 6 day trip of “royalty on roads”.

1.Landing at the capital-

New DelhiThe trip of Golden triangle starts from Delhi. New Delhi has been the capital of India since British era and today its one of the most expensive, crowded but still a unique city. It has a mixture of almost every religion which exists on this planet. Like Hindu, Sikh & Jain temples, Christian Churches, Muslim Mosques, Buddhist Monesties & much more.

In Delhi one must visit the India Gate which is a pride national monument of New Delhi & the whole nation & presents a tale of sacrifice laid by the Indian Soldiers from World War 1. Then you have the Red Fort which was once the residence & royal court of the last ruler of Delhi (Bahadur Shah Zafar) and the famous Connaught Place market which is also referred as the “heart of Delhi”.

Apart from these must see destinations one must visit Rajghat (Resting Palace of Mahatma Gandhi), Qutb Minar, Humanyun’s Tomb, Lotus temple, Chandni Chowk & National Museum. (Source- in the end)

2. Grab your bags for a royal visit to Jaipur

After spending 2 days in New Delhi the golden triangle package takes us to Jaipur. Jaipur is a 300 year old city which was built by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh ll. Jaipur is 265 Kms (165 miles) from New Delhi and a cab or bus is suggested to travel. Jaipur is also known as the Pink City and the oldest part of the city {Johari bazar} is totally pink.

Jaipur has so much to see, explore & observe than even a week is less but as the Golden Triangle Package is usually for 6 days so it’s important to have some prior knowledge about the popular tourist attractions in the city.

Jaipur on an average receives 10,000 visitors in a day. Tourism is one of the important employment source and its booming. Amer fort which is situated on the eastern border of Jaipur is the most attractive tourist spot and receives 6,000 plus visitors every day. This fort is massive and was built to protect the City Palace (Residence of Jaipur’s royalty). Along with Amer fort one can spend some quality time at Nahargarh fort, Jal Mahal (A palaces inside a lake) & Royal Gaitor.

Apart from Amer fort & its neighbors one must explore the Pink City area which includes City Palace, Hawa Mahal & Jantar Mantar. These 3 destinations are wall to wall and during the 18th century they were the royal residence of some of the richest individuals in the world.

Adding more to luxury, Jaipur also has 2 of the most amazing hotels which are 300-400 year old and were residence of Jaipur court members. They are the Raj Palace & Aram Bagh (now operated by the Taj group of hotels). Though accommodation here is even expensive than the average Golden triangle package tariff but a dinner or lunch is a smart option which one can take to grab some quick pictures for their Facebook accounts & view there astonishing palaces.

3. The symbol of Love at Agra

“If there is ever a heaven on earth, it is here, it is here, it is here” These are the words of Mughal emperor Shah Jahan which he said for Kashmir. The same emperor wanted to present a gift to his love Mumtaz Mahal (his wife) for which he build an image of heaven of our plant and later chopped off the hands of those who constructed it. Yes I am talking about Taj Mahal.

No trip to India is complete without observing Taj Mahal. The last day of Golden triangle package is enjoyed in the calm breeze of Taj Mahal which is situated at the banks of river Yamuna & it has been depicted by many words of poets, writer and even diplomats. It’s a symbol of pure love that can sometimes make us think that what will be the world without love.

The excitement which Taj Mahal offers can’t be achieved in any other monument in Agra but still one must visit the Red fort of Agra, taste the locals Mughal cuisine and visit the Taj Mahal Hotel in the city which even had the honor of 007 film Octopussy shooting.

So if you are interested to explore this mixture of religions, palaces, cuisine & culture than contact us.
