 Delta Air Announced Two Days ago that it raising its fares to allow to compensate for the higher fuel prices that drove it\'s $318 million loss in the first quarter of 2012. It is Noted that Summer fares for trips in the USA are 3% on average over last year and 18% compared with 2010, according the Industry Experts. The increase is even more for international trips, with the average ticket costing 20% more than it did in 2010.  Other Carriers will Probably follow Delta\'s suit.Commercial Carriers already have tried to boost fares six times this year, and three have succeeded. The next attempt is expected to come before Memorial Day, the start of the prime summer travel season. Airlines are raising fares to try to squeeze  a profit as fuel prices soar. United Continental said Thursday that it lost $448 million in the first quarter of 2012  as its fuel bill rose almost 21%, or $557 million. The Airline\'s Excuse is that the rising cost of fuel has had a major effect on Flights operations and that impacts pricing.  This summer\'s average round-trip fare inside the USA is $383, vs. $324 two years ago, Airlines will try to push fares as high as they can but stopping short of driving away customers .
