Speaking to reporters following a speech in Chicago, Jeff Smisekmentioned the organization is preparing to unveil some new offerings now that it has integrated its reservations process with that of its 2010 merger partner Continental Airlines.
The airline sector, battered for years by soaring fuel expenses and financial  weakness that drained travel demand, has relied far more heavily in current years on charges for services like bag checks, food, entertainment, seat choiceas along with other perks.
"We also obviously, are expanding the ancillary items and services we are going to sell that clients will purchase. We've held in abeyance a great deal of that," Smisek stated, declining to say what the corporation planned to provide next.
