Domestic Australia Jumbo Jet Travel

Facing fierce competition from Virgin Australia in the domestic business travel market, Qantas recently launched its domestic Flying Kangaroo’s 747 jumbo jet flights across Australia. The airline has started its inaugural flight from Sydney to Perth flying internationally configured Boeing 747 jumbos.

The business class travelers will now have access to the Qantas lie-flat ‘Skybed’ with the launch of domestic 747 flights.

The airline also said that it will be increasing the number of wide-body, internationally configured Airbus A330s on coast-to-coast flights. “More than 90 percent of Qantas services between the Australian east coast and Perth will now be operated with wide-bodied aircraft,” the airline said in an official press release.

Earlier, in April this year the airline added three A330 flights on the Melbourne-Perth route. Besides, according to the airline an A330 will also replace a daily Boeing 767 flight from Brisbane to Perth.

Qantas, which currently dominates business travel in Australia, had to introduce domestic 747 flights in response to the recently rebranded Virgin Australia adding Airbus A330s to its Sydney-Perth route and the addition of the airline’s first domestic business class seats.
